Shoe Dyeing
We offer the highest quality dyeable shoes on the market. Here
are some tips to getting them dyed the perfect color for you or
your bridesmaids.
COLORS WILL
LOOK DIFFERENT FROM INDOOR TO OUTDOOR (NATURAL) LIGHTING!
Color changes
in different light settings are due to the fabric being dyed,
and are unavoidable. For example, peaches, beiges, and taupes
look pinkish in outdoor lighting. Grey may look lilac. Please
be specific about your lighting environment. Dark colors are less
susceptible to change. If there are any questions about this,
please call our toll-free number for clarification between 10
AM and 5 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Since your
wedding day shoes are for one of your life's most important occasions,
it is important that they be the proper color. Dyeing is a very
delicate business, which is why we do not offer this service online.
Due to the artful myriad variances in color and dyeing technique,
we believe it's best for you, once you receive your dyeable shoes,
to take them to your local shoe store or shoe repair shop to ensure
you are completely satisfied with the results.
Here are some
tips for making sure you get the perfect color:
Dye is water
soluble, so be sure to cover your newly dyed shoes with water
repellent. This won't completely prevent staining and running
if your shoes are exposed to moisture or water, but it will help
control it. Ask the person dyeing your shoes to provide a swatch
of the dyed color for your approval before you agree to applying
it to your shoes. Be aware that dyed items can change hue under
indoor or bright outdoor light. Be sure to ask about this, and
test the color under the light you'll be exposed to on the big
day.
